VIN CHIP FOR TOURING CARAVANS
VIN CHIP is the theft deterrent and identification system for touring caravans in the UK which is now also installed in France, Slovenia, Germany and Italy. The identification system rebranded in 2016 to VIN CHIP and it continues to deter criminals looking to steal touring caravans and helps aid the identification and recovery. VIN CHIP is unique as it uses both overt and covert markings containing a touring caravan’s specific 17-digit VIN. VIN CHIP comes as standard on all UK touring caravan models manufactured by NCC members. Each unique VIN is linked to the official CRiS database (Central Registration & Identification Scheme).
